Cardiovascular health is influenced by much more than total cholesterol and LDL. At RWell Center, advanced cardiovascular testing provides a more comprehensive assessment of the biological factors that may contribute to atherosclerosis, vascular health and long-term cardiovascular risk.

The assessment looks across multiple areas of cardiovascular and metabolic health, including advanced cholesterol and lipoprotein patterns, insulin resistance and glucose regulation, inflammation and oxidative stress, endothelial function, clotting risk, fatty-acid balance, cardiac biomarkers, and kidney and liver function.

It can also evaluate emerging cardiovascular markers related to plaque activity, lipid metabolism, ceramides and other metabolic pathways that may provide additional information beyond a traditional lipid panel.
